Ante Kovac Director/Writer

Ante Kovac is a Toronto-based director who has delivered his vividly cinematic style to projects for top brands like 3M, Dove, Honda, and The Canadian Armed Forces.

 

After graduating from Ryerson University’s School of Radio and Television Arts, he began making music videos for high-profile artists such as The Tragically Hip, Joel Plaskett, and The Arkells. His work gained significant airplay on MTV and Much Music and was also showcased on Shots, Pitchfork, and various other platforms. His video for Matthew Good’s ‘Weapon’ earned him a Juno Award for Best Director.

 

Ante's transition to commercials was a seamless one, as he combined his keen visual sense with a natural talent for getting powerful performances from both professional actors and real people.

Additionally, Kovac is currently in development on several feature film projects, including ‘Coming Soon’ an ‘80s homage thriller with Scythia Films and Woods Entertainment.
